Gathapraya

Gathapraya

On the last day of September 2017, SMAN 3 Bandung held a cultural festival called Gathapraya. I was one of the committee of the festival, so, months before the festival, I had to prepare a lot for this event. A week before the festival, the committees only sleep less than 4 hours a day because we had to prepare the venue and of course, making money. Especially me, my job was finding company to be our sponsor, and gladly, lots of companies participated in our event.

On D-day, we were really nervous. Only 2000 tickets that were sold, while our goal was 4000 tickets. And there were no guarantees that those 2000 people would come. But fortunately, people buy the tickets on the venue, and it costs more than on pre-sale, so we got more money.

The guest stars for the event was Elephant Kind, Hivi, and Nidji. There were also stunning performances from students like vocal groups and a mix of modern and traditional dance. Vina, the first sand painter in Indonesia also came to amaze the audience. Didik Nini Towo, two-faced dancer also showed us a refreshing performance. Elephant Kind started their awesome performance around 8 pm. Their unique music style was very delightful. And Hivi was on the stage to sweetened the night by their romantic songs. Last but not least, Nidji rocked the night and made us jumped until the middle of the night.

I'm very happy Gathapraya went successfully. Gathapraya will remain forever in my memory as a start of my highschool days.
